How Does The Process Work Once You Hire Us?
Our expert team will come to your station for two days to observe your operations. You will need to tell your employees that we are a group doing research for a book on how news stations run and you've allowed us to be guests for a couple days. This is critical, as your employees can’t know we are consultants or they will be on their best behavior and we won’t see what we need to see. Throughout the day we will continue to build rapport with your employees so they will open up to us about their feelings regarding your station. BY keeping their guard down we will see employees that are unproductive, wasting time and negative influences on the rest of your employees. All of this important information will be missed if they know we are consultants hired by you to come in and observe them. You will also need to send us copies of all your news shows and other programming, so we can review them before our visit.
Once we have completed our visit to your station, we will create a complete Action Plan customized for your station that will get you to #1 fast. The Action Plan will give you all the specific things each department and each person can do to increase effectiveness, sales, marketing and productivity. We will also give our recommendations on which staff members should be praised and which ones should be watched closely or even fired. Your Action Plan will be direct, concise and not contain any fluff. Your Action Plan will be completed within 30 days after our visit.
After you receive your Action Plan, your monthly Implementation Training will start. Each month there will be scheduled training calls for your news/production staff and for your sales/marketing staff. You will receive 2 thirty minute calls each month – 1 with Mike Haley and 1 with Jeff Hockings. The monthly Implementation Training will be for a minimum of 12 months to ensure you reach your goal of becoming #1 in your market. You will receive 3 follow up visits during the 12 month term, where our team will spend one day in your station to ensure the appropriate changes are being made, to provided onsite training and to answer any questions. You will have the option to renew for an additional 12-month term after first term expires. Ongoing training is very important to keep you at #1 once you get there.
